LUTISAA CAPITAL CAMPAIGN – Update 8-10-2006
July 19, 2007
At the 8th National Convention of the weekend of August 13, 2005, the association launched a fundraising campaign to help rebuild our alma mater, Lutheran Training Institute. Endorsed by the Board and enthusiastically embraced by the National Convention, this idea was immediately acted upon by all in attendance. Telephone calls were made to as many as we could contact and pledges were made. Our goal is to raise $25,000.00. To achieve this we are asking for a minimum donation of $100.00 from each person. To date, we have collected a total of $2730.00. I would like to thank the following for their donations: Victor Dougba, Nya Boayue, Yata Dukuly, Alvin Johnson, Lovetie Browne, Martha Harding, John Pewee, J Allen Brown, Cheryl Krangar Wreh, Ernest Fendor, J Mwah Polson, James Hill, Rozetta Bernard, Kolu Mator, Anthony & Dearee Johnson, Kulubo Sianeh Kpanaku, Rosetta Clarke Brooks, Henry Gaypia, Judith Ezike, Sam Subah, Agatha Johnson, Kolu Johnson and Joe Mator. With the busy schedules in this country, I am certain that those whose names don’t appear on this list simply forgot. The final update will be made at the end of the Convention on Sunday, August 12, 2007.
As Chairman of this campaign, you would expect that I would be discouraged, but on the contrary, I am only disappointed but not discouraged because I know as a rule LTI students are “cramooses”. We have been known to come through when the going gets tough. This will be no exception. On that note, if your name is not listed above, please bring your contribution to the Convention or better still, send it ahead to Joe Mator, 2194 Aslan Drive, PA 17404. For obvious reasons, No personal checks, please. You may also contact me at 717-424-5154.
May God bless us all as we take on this noble cause. Please take some time to reflect on how LTI impacted your life and thereafter think about how you can keep this flame burning by contributing to this campaign.
Thanks in advance for your contribution.
